If you’re looking for a new four legged best friend you should really consider going to the pound or if your town has one; a shelter. There are so many great dogs and cats that are ready for a second in life and you might be able to offer that to them. With adoption you have your choice of age, what kind of bread you want, you can also get a great bargain and save lives. Also, if you’re unable to adopt due to family allergies or where your life won’t let you have pets, you can always help volunteer, the animals will love you for your attention and the staff will appreciate for the extra set of hands.

There are so many animals without homes these days. They wind up in the pound, shelters (some of which are unfortunately kill shelters), and even without a roof over their head. They hope for a second chance, for someone to love them again, someone to bring joy to their lives just like they would the same for us. Each year 8 to 12 million dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens are euthanized because too many pets come into shelters and too few people to adopt. I encourage people to help control the overpopulation by adopting and spaying and neutering your pets.
